"I was referred to this law firm by a prominent attorney in St. Augustine. I met with Mr. Naples to discuss the probate of my husband's estate. It was a somewhat complex situation, involving coordination with a Surrogates Court in New York. Mr. Naples was extremely helpful and informative. His paralegal, Kristen Bass, was extraordinary. My husband's will was probated in less than three weeks in St. Johns County. Unfortunately, New York was not nearly as timely. Kristen was exemplary in following up and bringing the settlement of the estate to the appropriate conclusion. Last week, Dave was able to attend the RPPTL (Real Property, Probate, Trust Law section of The Florida Bar) meeting in Palm Beach at The Breakers. Dave always appreciates the opportunity to network with his peers, be a part of legislative discussions, and learn from the excellent presenters. These meetings give him the opportunity to stay connected with our legal community throughout the State of Florida!

A bittersweet legacy for D. Naples Law.

One of D. Naples Law mascots, Klondike, passed away recently.

Klondike was a faithful companion to our managing partner, Dave, for the past eleven years. He was adopted from SAFE Pet Rescue Inc. in 2015, after he was rescued in Putnam County from a horrific hoarding situation with over 50 other dogs in a small home. When Dave and Kaley first adopted him, there was a huge learning curve for all three of them, but after overcoming hurdles, Klondike became the best advocate for other dogs in need.

Inspired by Klondike's journey and the desire to honor Klondike's legacy, D. Naples Law will help another adoptable SAFE Pet Rescue Inc. dog receive training to help increase their chances of adoption. Klondike was proof that dedication and a willingness to learn and advocate for your pet will give you a lifetime of love.

Congratulations to Dave for surviving his first year of UF Levin College of Law's Graduate Tax Program, finishing the spring semester with straight As in Estate Planning, Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates, and Probate & Trust Administration: Tax Considerations! The education and experience at UF has been excellent, and Dave is enjoying the relationships being built with his fellow colleagues and professors. He looks forward to the fall semester where he will take courses on tax exempt organizations and international income taxation.
