Mercedes-Benz EQB Fire Risk Investigation

Do you own a 2022–2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB?

Mercedes-Benz has issued multiple recalls involving certain EQB vehicles after reports that high-voltage battery defects may cause fires — even while the vehicle is parked.

According to federal safety reports and recall notices, affected owners have been advised to:
⚠️ Park outside and away from structures
⚠️ Limit charging to 80%
⚠️ Be aware that fire events may occur without warning while parked

KTB’s investigation and the recalls encompass the following vehicles manufactured between December 13, 2021, and May 9, 2024:
▪️ 2023–2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB 250+
▪️ 2022–2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB 300 4MATIC
▪️ 2022–2024 Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 4MATIC

Owners have also reported:
• Reduced charging capacity and driving range
• Parking limitations due to fire concerns
• Delays in battery replacement availability
• Significant diminished vehicle value
