"Her Honor": A Conversation with Judge LaDoris Hazzard Cordell (Ret.)
Nov 3, 2021 12:00 PM
The Stanford Law School Black Alumni Association invites you to join a virtual conversation with Judge LaDoris Hazzard Cordell (Ret.), JD ’74, the Superior Court of Northern California's first African American woman judge. Judge Cordell’s insights into our legal system and higher education are truly unique; in addition to her historic appointment to the bench, she pioneered Stanford Law School’s minority recruitment efforts as an Assistant Dean and later returned to campus in a University-wide leadership role as Vice Provost. We hope you join us as we learn from her wide range of experiences in and out of the courtroom, as both jurist and advocate.
Event registrants will have the opportunity to order a signed copy of Judge Cordell’s new book, Her Honor, through Oakland’s historic Black-owned bookstore Marcus Books.
