At the Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite, Holly Roberson will moderate the panel “Complex Evolution of Tribal Consultation,” exploring the realities of tribal consultation under California law, including recent developments involving AB 52, Koi Nation v. City of Clearlake, and evolving approaches to meaningful consultation.

Thank you to the California Indian Law Association (CILA) and the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians for hosting a wonderful 26th Annual California Indian Law Conference & Awards Dinner!

Kronick attorneys Holly Roberson, Curtis Vandermolen, and law clerk Amber Frank enjoyed connecting with colleagues, sharing perspectives, and participating in discussions on important issues affecting tribal communities and Indian law.

We recently gathered in Tahoe for our 2026 Attorney and Senior Legal Professional Retreat — a chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend time together, and focus on team building, communication, and the future of the firm.

The retreat included group discussions and activities, time outdoors, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with colleagues. Families were invited to join us, making the weekend feel relaxed and personal.

Kronick is proud to support the California Indian Law Association’s (CILA) 26th Annual California Indian Law Conference & Awards Dinner, October 7–9 at Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage.

Shareholder Holly Roberson will join the Litigation Update panel, where she will address environmental law and tribal cultural resources protection updates. Holly is honored to speak alongside Lauren van Schilfgaarde (Cochiti Pueblo), Assistant Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law, and Steve Bodmer (Edisto Natchez-Kusso Tribe of SC), General Counsel for the Pechanga Band of Indians.

Holly will be joined at the conference by Kronick tribal law colleagues Senior Counsel Curtis Vandermolen and Law Clerk Amber Frank (Ho-Chunk Nation), a 2026 CILA Scholar.

Kronick is pleased to announce a planned transition in firm leadership.

After four years as Managing Shareholder, Eric Robinson will conclude his tenure in the role on September 30 and return his focus to his practice and clients.

Jeffrey Mitchell will serve as Interim Managing Shareholder through April 2027, providing continuity during the transition.

Jennifer A. Scott has been selected as Kronick’s next Managing Shareholder and will assume the role in April 2027.

We are grateful for Eric’s leadership, Jeff’s commitment to guiding the firm through this transition, and Jennifer’s continued dedication to Kronick and its future.

Tomorrow morning, Eric Robinson will speak at the Resources Association of California 2026 World Groundwater Congress on “Framework to Market: Multi-Perspective Roadmap for Groundwater Trading Under SGMA.”
