Jennifer Randlett Madden, Monica Folsom, and Elizabeth Leet Jackson returned from an incredible week at Cap-to-Cap in Washington, D.C., feeling proud to be part of such a strong, engaged Sacramento region.
Alongside leaders from across the Capital Region, they spent the week meeting with federal and local officials to advocate for the issues that matter most to our communities and businesses—and to better understand the opportunities and challenges ahead.
They appreciated the chance to hear directly from Congresswoman Doris O. Matsui, Congressman Ami Bera, Congressman Kevin Kiley, and Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty.
The week also included some memorable moments, from a lunch at the Library of Congress hosted by Congressman Bera to a behind-the-scenes look at the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art (thank you, Congresswoman Matsui), a tour of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and even a late-night stop at Ben's Chili Bowl!
We were also proud to co-host a special dinner at The Hay-Adams with our partners Kaiser Permanente, Wilton Rancheria, and California State University, Sacramento.
A big thank you to the Sacramento Metro Chamber for putting together such a meaningful and well-run program.
Already looking forward to next year!
