Sacramento Takes the Hill: A Mission of Impact
For the past few days, AREAA Greater Sacramento chapter didn’t just visit Washington, D.C.—we moved the needle. Representing Sacramento with pride, six members of our Board of Directors marched onto Capitol Hill to advocate for the future of our community and the industry we serve.
The Mission: AREAA’s 3-Point Plan
We brought a clear, powerful vision to the highest levels of government, focusing on three non-negotiable pillars:
1. Language Access for All: Breaking down barriers to ensure every person can navigate the path to homeownership, regardless of the language they speak.
2. Housing Supply: Tackling the inventory crisis head-on to make the dream of a home a reality again.
3. Protecting Access to Homeownership: Safeguarding the right to own property and building generational wealth for all communities.
The Meetings: Voices That Matter
In collaboration with our Northern California partners, we held high-stakes briefings with the offices of California’s most influential leaders:
• Congresswoman Doris Matsui
• Senator Adam Schiff
• Senator Alex Padilla
The Bottom Line
Sacramento chapter showed up, spoke up, and stood out. I am incredibly proud of our leadership team for their dedication. We didn’t just present a plan; we fought for our neighbors, our clients, and our city.
The work continues, but the message has been delivered.
