Record High Mortgage Debt Sounds Scary. Here’s What the Headlines Leave Out.

Record mortgage debt makes for a scary headline. But context matters.

Equity is near an all-time high, home values have surged, and the vast majority of homeowners are in a position of real financial strength. The conditions that made 2008 a crisis simply don't exist right now.

If you're wondering what all of this means for your situation, whether you're thinking about buying, selling, or just trying to make sense of the market, reach out anytime. No pressure, just answers.

If you know, you know. The farmers market under the freeway is basically a Sacramento Sunday tradition 🌿

Officially it’s the Central Sacramento Sunday Certified Farmers Market, but most locals just call it the Sunday Market, the WX Market, or simply “the one under the freeway.” Every Sunday under Highway 50 near W/X Street, you’ll find fresh flowers, local produce, coffee, olive oils, baked goods, and some of the best people watching in Sacramento.

For me, this spot is full of memories. I have so many fond memories of bringing my kids here when they were little and making a morning out of it. A honey stick, a pastry, and a warm cup of cocoa always felt like the perfect Sunday treat ☕️

It’s one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday morning with family, especially this time of year when the weather is perfect and everything feels so alive.

If you haven’t been yet, add it to your weekend plans ☀️

What the Foreclosure Headlines Aren’t Telling You

Foreclosure filings may be rising, but they're still low. And the equity most homeowners are sitting on today is a key reason this looks nothing like 2008.

You've probably seen the headlines saying, "foreclosures are on the rise,” and maybe your mind jumped straight to 2008.

Should You Wait To Move? Here’s Your Answer.

“Should I just wait?” It’s the question it seems like everyone’s asking. And here’s your answer. Even with everything going on, people are still moving. More homes are going under contract. Two parcels. One incredible opportunity. ✨

Tucked behind private gates, this 5,500+ sq ft estate offers the rare chance to create a true family compound—something we don’t often see come to market in this area. From the moment you arrive, there’s a sense of space, privacy, and possibility that’s hard to replicate.

Inside, the home unfolds with soaring ceilings, expansive living areas, and a flexible layout designed to adapt to the way you live. Whether it’s multi-generational living, working from home, or simply having room to spread out, this home offers a level of versatility that’s increasingly hard to find.

And then there’s the opportunity beyond the home itself…

The second parcel—already equipped with utilities—opens the door to something even bigger. A guest house, a second residence, a resort-style outdoor retreat… or simply the luxury of added space and privacy. However you envision it, the potential here is real.

Properties like this aren’t just about what’s here today—they’re about what they can become.

If you’ve been waiting for something with land, flexibility, and long-term upside… this is one worth seeing in person.
