Joyce grew up on a small dairy farm in Saco, where four of her five siblings still live. She graduated from Thornton Academy, and the University of Maine School of Law. Joyce practiced law in Scarborough from 1990 - 2014, first a

s an associate with Picher & Barrett and Picher & Associates, and from 1996-2014 as owner of Scarborough Legal Center. She has been a partner at Prescott Jamieson Murphy Law Group since 2015. Joyce is past president of the Kiwanis Club of Scarborough (2003-4, 2015-16), and also a member and past secretary of the Saco Valley Land Trust. She has interviewed local high school students for the Harvard Club in Maine since 1993. She has represented many pro bono clients through the Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project, in 2013 receiving a certificate of commendation from the Katahdin Counsel Recognition Program. Joyce and her husband, Edward Clark, also a Saco native, have been married since 1995, and live in Saco with their two children.
