First day of harvest for me and I come home and on my combine are two goody bags from Community State Bank. We live in such a great community! They must have some internal tracking at the bank to know this was my first day heading to the field.

Helped chaperone 6th grade Pioneer trip to Chicago's museum of science and industry yesterday. Nice to see they have an exhibit on farming. As a farmer, I found I neat to see the threshing mechanism on the combine work through the glass side of the machine. Wonder how much the 8210 with less than 10 hours would bring at an auction over and above what it cost new?

Big problem in this Country. Many farms, not enough people to take them over.
Even if there's no heir to take over the family farm or ranch, producers can still ensure their operations will live to see another day.

Martin County, courthouse #50 on my journey of Indiana Courthouses where I have had cases at. Left picture is the old courthouse, right is new courthouse. Martin County only has around 10,000 residents so when the old Courthouse was turned into a museum, a bank building was used for the new courthouse as case loads did not warrant building a completely new building.

In 2011, our office opened in rural Southeast LaGrange County. The goal was to create a rural law practice that focused on the needs of farmers, rural residents, and residents of small towns. Above all, we wanted to have a law practice that was able to maintain a lower overhead and pass the savings on to clients. In addition, we wanted to provide friendly and personal service.
In 2019, our office moved to Royal Center, Indiana. John’s family farm had grown from 570 acres to over 4,000. With aging parents, and three young children, John chose to to focus on his law practice and the farm was downsized. With the changes came a move to Cass County, Indiana, where his wife Sarah grew up and has numerous family members.
Eight years later, we are still assisting clients not only in Michigan and Indiana, but across the country as well. We cherish the relationships we build with our clients as well as our ability to assist individuals with their legal needs.
Currently, our office is fighting for numerous farm clients that are caught in the economic storm of the down farm economy. We have been successful in getting many of our farm clients restructured and refinanced. However, we have a lot more work to do as the farm economy appears to continue to worsen.
