The full cost of property damage isn’t always visible at first glance.

When substantial losses lead to disputes over coverage, repair scope, or valuation, the details matter: the policy language, the cause of damage, the expert analysis, and the evidence supporting the loss.

Ryman Clark represents policyholders in substantial property-damage and insurance disputes. We build the record needed to pursue accountability and meaningful recovery.

Tenants deserve a fair fight. We showed up for a Texas family and won.

Yesterday, Kyle Ryman secured a trial judgment in a security deposit case. We’re proud to stand with tenants and help them hold landlords accountable.

Justice prevailed.

A new mission comes with new terrain.

Our co-managing partner, Alex Clark—Air Force veteran and UTexas School of Law ’19 graduate—joined fellow veterans on September 30 for The University of Texas at Austin’s “Demystifying the Mission” panel.

The focus: navigating the unwritten rules of graduate school and civilian careers, translating military experience, and building connections along the way.

Thank you to Rohan Lattupally, UT’s Graduate Office of Career and Life Design, and the fellow panelists for bringing this community together.

Proud to support fellow veterans as they take their next steps. Hook ’em. 🤘

Insurance companies spend over $8 BILLION a year on advertising to fill your screen with geckos, emus, mayhem, and catchy jingles. Meanwhile, premiums keep climbing and nearly half of all claims go unpaid.

They have billions to convince you they’re a good neighbor. But when it’s time to pay your claim? That’s a different story.

Mold in homes is a serious issue the country is increasingly confronting. The Wall Street Journal recently reported on homeowner lawsuits against builders involving alleged mold-related illnesses.

These disputes can be difficult, contentious, and highly fact-specific.

For Texas homeowners, mold may be more than a repair issue. Depending on the facts, the questions may involve construction or repair work, warranties, disclosures, contracts, insurance, and evidence linking a condition to the claimed loss. Liability is never automatic.

The central questions are often about proof: Where did water enter the property? What work was performed? What do the construction records, inspections, testing, and communications show? Where illness is alleged, can qualified evidence establish the claimed exposure and harm?

Timing matters. Texas residential construction-defect claims can involve pre-suit notice and inspection procedures, while contracts and filing deadlines may affect the available path forward.

Before repairs or remediation change the conditions, documentation and preservation matter: photographs, records, communications, inspection materials, and appropriate professional evaluation.

Ryman Clark PLLC represents Texas homeowners in serious water intrusion, construction defect, insurance, and mold disputes. The work begins with early preservation, disciplined investigation, and a clear-eyed assessment of the facts.
