Becoming a U.S. citizen does not always require passing the English and civics tests.

If you have a qualifying medical or developmental condition that affects your ability to learn or remember information, you may be eligible for a full exemption. This is a serious legal option, but it must be properly documented and carefully prepared to avoid delays or denial.

Many applications are rejected due to incomplete or weak medical certifications. Getting this right from the start matters.

We break down who qualifies, what evidence is required, and how to avoid common mistakes in our latest blog.

Immigration scams are getting more sophisticated and more dangerous.

We are seeing cases where scammers impersonate real law firms, create fake legal documents, and even stage fake court hearings. Many victims lose thousands of dollars and, more importantly, miss critical deadlines that can lead to denial of their case or even deportation.

If something feels urgent, guaranteed, or too easy, it is a red flag. Always verify who you are working with before you send money or share personal information.

We break down how these scams work, the real legal risks, and how to protect yourself in our latest article.

Consular processing is the required path to get a green card if you are outside the United States. While the steps may seem straightforward, many cases face delays or denials due to avoidable mistakes.

Issues like prior criminal history, past immigration violations, or even past membership in certain organizations, including the Communist Party, can raise serious legal concerns. These are not minor details. They can directly affect whether your visa is approved or refused.

This is where experienced legal guidance matters. Identifying risks early and preparing your case correctly can make the difference between approval and long-term delays.

Read the full article to understand the process, key risks, and what you need to do to protect your case.

USCIS has issued a major new policy memorandum that could significantly change how Adjustment of Status applications are reviewed.

While the memo does not change the immigration laws passed by Congress, it directs USCIS officers to apply much broader discretion when deciding whether to approve Form I-485 applications. The policy also suggests that consular processing abroad should be the preferred path in many cases.

This could affect applicants with overstays, status violations, parole history, or even certain employment-based and dual intent visa cases. At the same time, the law still allows many individuals already inside the United States to apply for permanent residence, including many immediate relatives of U.S. citizens.

There is already substantial confusion and misinformation online about what this policy actually means. We break down the memo, the legal context, who may be affected, and what applicants should consider moving forward. Read the full article here:

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

For many immigrant families, Memorial Day carries a deeply personal meaning. Throughout American history, immigrants have answered the call to serve this country, protect their communities, and defend the freedoms and opportunities that make the United States home for so many families. Many made the ultimate sacrifice alongside generations of Americans who believed in service, duty, and hope for a better future.

We are grateful for those sacrifices and for the values they represent: courage, resilience, and the pursuit of opportunity.

In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026. We will reopen during normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26.

We wish everyone a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Memorial Day as we take time to remember and honor those who served and sacrificed.

Another successful approval and another life-changing victory for one of our returning clients. 🎉

Our attorney recently attended an I-751 interview with a past client who was applying to remove the conditions on his 2-year green card. Due to changes in his situation after receiving his 2 year green card, he was nervous about the increased scrutiny his application would receive. After careful preparation and Attorney's representation at the interview, USCIS approved his case.

Strong evidence, preparation, and legal guidance can make a major difference in these cases.

Congratulations to our client on this important approval and new chapter ahead!🎉
