Have a Green Card and a spouse who overstayed their visa? ⚠️🇺🇸

In some situations, filing for citizenship first may be a smarter strategy before petitioning for your spouse.
Why? Becoming a U.S. citizen can significantly change the immigration options available to your spouse.

🚨USCIS MADE A SCHEDULING ERROR? DON’T ASSUME YOUR CASE IS OVER.
This happens more often than you think.
What if USCIS schedules an appointment or interview for you while you’re outside the United States?
Or what if the notice doesn’t match your actual circumstances?

👉🏻Do NOT simply ignore the notice.
A scheduling issue can create serious problems if it isn’t addressed properly and on time. The right response can depend on the type of appointment, your immigration case, where you are currently located, and the instructions on your USCIS notice.

The important thing is to act quickly and understand your options before making a decision that could negatively affect your case.

If you're dealing with a USCIS scheduling issue while outside the U.S., don't guess your next move.

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐖 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐌!

More client wins. More reasons to celebrate.

This week, we're celebrating movement across VAWA, family-based, and employment authorization cases, including:

✅1 Ten-Year Green Card Approval
✅2 Marriage-Based Green Card Approvals
✅1 Work Permit Approval
✅3 I-512L Approval Notices
✅19 VAWA Prima Facie Determinations

Our VAWA Prima Facie determinations this week included clients from Jamaica and The Bahamas, while our other case wins included clients from Nigeria, Haiti, Guyana, and Jamaica.

And behind every line on this list is a real person who has been waiting, hoping, and trusting the process.

For some, it's a Green Card.
For others, it's employment authorization.
For our VAWA clients, a Prima Facie determination can be an important milestone while their case continues.

These aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet. They're real immigration journeys moving forward.

If you've been thinking about filing your case, waiting to take the next step, or wondering whether there is an immigration option available to you, don't let uncertainty keep you stuck.

Your case deserves to be evaluated based on your individual circumstances.

🚨 BREAKING IMMIGRATION NEWS: NEIGHBORHOOD INVESTIGATIONS FOR NATURALIZATION ARE BACK!

If you are planning to apply for U.S. citizenship, this new USCIS policy alert is something you need to know about.

On August 25, 2026, USCIS issued Policy Alert PA-2026-10, providing new guidance on investigations and examinations for naturalization eligibility.

Under the updated guidance, USCIS is reintroducing personal investigations — also known as neighborhood investigations — under INA §335(a). USCIS is also reinforcing the requirement to validate and corroborate the information and documentation provided by naturalization applicants.

What does this mean for citizenship applicants?

USCIS may look more closely at information related to your eligibility, including information concerning your:

📍 Residence
💼 Employment
📝 Application history
⚖️ Good moral character
🇺🇸 Attachment to the principles of the Constitution
📄 Supporting documentation and other information provided in your case

The guidance also allows applicants to submit testimonials or character reference letters that may help support their eligibility.

⚠️ This is why your N-400 should never be treated like “just another form.”

The information you provide needs to be accurate, consistent, complete, and supported by the evidence available in your case.

If there are gaps, discrepancies, extended trips outside the U.S., previous immigration issues, criminal history, tax concerns, or other complications in your history, now is the time to address them — not after USCIS starts asking questions.

🇺🇸 Thinking about applying for citizenship? Don't just ask, “Am I eligible?” Ask, “Am I prepared for the examination?”
