I attended an interesting class today about how the new California Prop 19 will be implemented. There are 2 parts to the new law that will impact property taxes and transfers in the future.

Part 1 impacts parent to child property tax transfers after Feb 16th, 2021.

Part 2 allows for the transfer of your existing/previous assessed value to another property in the state if you are 55+ or effected by a declared disaster after April 1st, 2021.
