On May 14 and May 15 my senior paralegal, Nicole, and I had the honor to volunteer at Placer Veterans Stand Down. The event was free to all veterans, legal spouses and children. It offered meals and optional overnight accommodations, haircuts, showers, health and human assistance, clothing, personal care supplies, dental, medical and eye services, legal and child support services, employment counseling and housing referrals, as well as (but not limited to) VA benefit assistance. There was a great turnout and it was a privilege to give back to the men and women who have sacrificed for our country! 🇺🇸
