If you live in West Roseville between blue Oaks and Pleasant Grove you may want to know that there has been a bear sighting and to just be extra cautious and keep your pets inside.🐻

🐻 Bear Sighting Alert

A bear has been spotted in the area near Foothills Blvd between Blue Oaks Blvd and Pleasant Grove.

While bear sightings are uncommon in Roseville, they can happen—especially as wildlife travels in search of food and water.

If you encounter a bear:
• Keep your distance and never approach it.
• Do not feed or attempt to attract the bear.
• Secure garbage, pet food, and other food sources.
• Keep pets on a leash and supervise them outdoors.
• If you see a bear, give it plenty of space and allow it to move on.

If the bear is behaving aggressively or poses an immediate threat to public safety, call 911.

California Department of Fish and Wildlife has been notified of the sighting.

Today, Bosch announced that its Roseville semiconductor facility is now operational following up to $2 billion modernization investment supported by up to $225 million in definitive funding from the CHIPS and Science Act.

Valued at up to $2 billion, Bosch’s facility here represents the largest semiconductor fab investment in California in 30 years. This milestone strengthens domestic semiconductor manufacturing and positions Greater Sacramento as a leader in silicon carbide innovation — critical for electric vehicles, renewable energy and advanced industrial applications.

GSEC is proud to have played a pivotal role in Bosch’s move to Roseville. This is a defining moment for our region and for GSEC’s work to diversify our economy and drive high-wage job growth.
