As of January 1, 2024, the federal Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) requires businesses to file Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) to the U.S. Treasury's Financial Crimes Network (FinCEN). This applies to MOST businesses, big and small including not-for-profit corporations:

Businesses created:

o Before January 1,2024, must file by January 1, 2025
o Created in 2024 must file within 90 days of creation, and
o In 2025 and after, must file within 30 days of creation.

DRIVERS BEWARE! Illinois is changing its laws. Until now the first ticket for using ‘handheld communication devices’ such as cell phones of I-pads, was not considered a moving violation and did not affect your driving record. Not anymore. As of July 1, 2019, even the first ticket will be considered a moving violation.
