Friendly reminder that the Rockwall County Bar Association and Bar Foundation’s Annual Bench-Bar Conference will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Liberty Hall.
Late registration opens at 9:30 AM with coffee and breakfast, and the program runs through 5 PM. This year’s agenda features 6 hours of CLE programming, including:
• Criminal Law Update - Julien Tagnon, Court of Criminal Appeals
• Stayin Alive: Experience, Tips, and Resources for Lawyers and Judges (Ethics) - Justice Michael Lee, Fifth District Court of Appeals
• State Bar Update - G. David Smith, State Bar of Texas President-Elect, Santos Vargas, State Bar of Texas President
• Rockwall County Judiciary Panel - Judge Hall, Judge Rakow, Judge Williams, Judge Woodward, and Judge Wheeler
• Mediator’s Panel - Moderated by Brad Lamberth
• Family Law Practice Tips Panel: Discussing Cases from Intake to Conclusion - Kim Timpa, Madison Stahl, Zachary Rivera, Caroline Chastant, and Gabriella Sanchez
• Fifth District Court of Appeals Panel - Justice Bonnie Goldstein, Presiding
Lunch will be provided courtesy of Timpa Law Office, and a happy hour sponsored by Edwards Law PLLC will follow the conference at Onassis Greek Taphouse and Kitchen.
To register for the Membership Directory, pay annual dues, and purchase Bench Bar tickets, please follow the below instructions:

Step 2: Click the button that says “Join Now”
Step 3: Enter your name, email address, select “Annual Membership” or “Bench Bar + Annual Membership”, enter your payment information, and click “submit.”
Once you have followed the foregoing instructions and submitted your payment, you will receive an email receipt from [email protected] . You will also be redirected on the website to a registration page where you can input information about your practice. Once you include the information you want on your Membership Profile and create a login password, you will be sent a welcome email from [email protected]. From the link in the welcome email, you can update your profile with additional information regarding your practice, including the name and address of your firm, your contact information, practice areas you specialize in, and even a headshot and cover photo!
Please note that unless you have paid your annual membership dues, you will not be able to gain access to the Membership Directory through the website. Even if you have been a member of the Bar Association for many years, we need everyone to register on the new site once you have paid for your annual membership so that we can build out our Membership Directory and create opportunities for connections and referrals between members. Additionally, you cannot purchase tickets to Bench Bar unless or until you have paid your annual membership dues. Annual membership dues are $60, and tickets to Bench Bar are $75. You can purchase both through the website simultaneously for $135.
