We seem to be basically up and running (and have been for while - we're just slow with our Facebook updates). Our office is open for appointments. In fact, most of you seem to be preferring in-person meetings (with masks and social distancing obviously) to another form. However, we are still happy to do phone or video conferences.

Blakeslee Rop, PLC is open for business. We are fully operational but our lobby is closed and the office is not going to be fully staffed, in order to allow our employees to work from home and in order to comply with Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order. This does not affect 90% of what we do for our clients.

Certain things do need to be done in person – most notably the signing of documents that require witnesses and/or notaries. Most of these matters fit within the exceptions to the stay-home order, and we are still able to perform these services.

Consequently, if you are at all nervous about waiting to sign a deed, Will, Trust, or the like, we can still help you. If you wish, we can even handle it through glass in a sanitized contact-free setting.

We will do our part to slow the continued spread of the Coronavirus. Ensuring our clients’ health and safety is paramount.

First, as we work with you, we are still happy to meet in person - applicable guidance does not currently advise against such meetings. However, we can easily handle almost all your needs by phone or video conference, if you prefer. Just let us know.

Second, if this evolving situation affects you legally, we are certainly here to help - give us a call.
