Michigan Court Clarifies Hotel Liability in Turrentine v. Jagu, LLC

We’re proud to have represented the Michigan Association for Justice in filing an amicus brief in Turrentine v. Jagu, LLC—a significant case addressing hotel guest safety and employer responsibility.

The Michigan Court of Appeals adopted the constructive-knowledge framework we advanced, holding that a jury may consider whether an employer should have known about an employee’s dangerous conduct.

This decision strengthens protections for guests and reinforces accountability when warning signs are ignored.

Would you let someone other than an anesthesiologist put you under for surgery?

Hospitals in Michigan are starting to replace anesthesiologists in surgeries and procedures—and patients often aren’t even told. The Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists warns this puts lives in danger.

Patients deserve safety, transparency, and accountability—not dangerous cost-cutting.

If you or a loved one suffered complications during surgery, know your rights. We fight for patients, not hospital bottom lines.
