Reviving this well-loved antique table took some creativity! The 'before' photos show it after a deep sanding and patchwork where broken and cracked wood needed some extra TLC. For the 'after,' I used a dark walnut stain, chalk paint in the area with the most damage, and multiple coats of poly to bring it back to life. This project was so satisfying, breathing new life into a piece that holds special meaning to me since it originally belonged to my grandparents. I can only imagine the stories it’s heard—and how I wish they could sit around it again, sharing a cup of coffee. ❤️

One of the best parts of my work is helping clients transform their spaces by repurposing items they already own. It’s amazing how much time and money can be saved by simply rearranging furniture and adding a few new touches. Recently, I had the pleasure of refreshing a client’s room by repositioning a chair and updating it with stylish pillows—it completely revitalized the space! Design should be fun and, most importantly, it should create a space that feels comforting and uniquely yours. 🙌

"Sara with Restoring Life and Home has been a lifesaver for my home! After an unexpected water problem in our basement caused us to completely rip it apart, our entire storage/basement was total chaos. It sat untouched for over a year as a pain point for our family. Finally, after spending 45 minutes looking for my son’s snowpants this winter (and not finding them), I knew something had to be done. I called Sara and we started on the project. It went slow as I would take a half day off work 1-2x a month, but after each session I felt a little lighter. She graciously encouraged me to part with things I was holding on to on the off chance I may use it in oh 10-20 years. 😉 The process never felt overwhelming and having someone to work on it with, talk through the best way to organize something, and to hold me accountable was just what I needed.
