The Social Security Administration recently announced that Social Security and Supplemental Security Income benefits for 75 million Americans will increase 2.8% in 2026.

Over the last decade, the cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) increase has averaged about 3.1 percent.

The Social Security Act ties the annual COLA to the increase in the Consumer Price Index as determined by the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Yesterday we attended and sponsored the 18th Annual Human Service Worker of the Year Awards Luncheon hosted by the Federation of Social Workers IUE/CWA 81381.

We nominated this year's recipient of the "Community Non-Profit Organization of the Year" award, What's Next Sorority. The confidential and free group provides support to pregnant teens Rochester.

Congratulations to all the award winners and thank you for the tremendous work you do to help those in our community.
