Major changes to the DMV point system went into effect in November. One of the big ones is permanent loss of licence with 4 or more alcohol related conviction s over 25 year period. Dwi is now an 11 point violation. Look back period for points now 24 months. DMV website (of course) has not been updated to reflect these charges.

The New York Department of Motor Vehicles has overhauled its point system, and the points drivers accrue are going to stay on their record longer.
