Our camera rolls? Mostly houses 🏡 🤣

A few staging shots from this week that made us stop scrolling through our own photos.

The cozy corners, the color combinations, the details we moved three times until they felt just right… all to help buyers walk in and start picturing life there.

Earthy and organic is the name of the game for today’s color client moving into her new home!

Have color confusion ?!? Lisa’s got you!! 🎨

Not every seller has the opportunity to move out before listing…but when they do, this is why we encourage it.

A fully vacant home gives us the freedom to stage each space intentionally and create the strongest possible presentation for the market.

The before + after says the rest.

The beams. The windows. That stone fireplace. 😍 This home had us swooning! We loved bringing in soft textures and fresh styling to let its character shine.

YES…You can take your own Christmas photos at our studio!

We created three fully styled holiday scenes at Upstate Roots Studio for families, couples, kids and friends to use for their Christmas card photos.

Have a favorite photographer? Book them separately and bring them along. OR grab your own phone or camera, take your festive photos yourself, and officially retire that vacation photo you were planning to reuse for this year’s Christmas card. 😉

No overthinking, no planning the perfect backdrop - just bring your favorite people and we’ll have the beautiful holiday setting ready for you.

Want to bring another family along to make taking photos of each other even easier? Check out our family upgrade option at checkout. Want to bring your dog? We’ve got an upgrade for that too. 🐾

Our client was growing, evolving, and ready for an office that reflected where their business was headed. We had the pleasure of helping bring that next chapter to life.

From their previous client waiting area, to a completely new space under construction, to our 3D vision, and finally the finished installation.

This was such a fun project to be part of. Our clients trusted us with creative control, came to the table with a realistic budget, and truly allowed us to design a space that felt elevated, intentional and reflective of their brand.

The best projects are always a collaboration…and this client was an absolute dream to work with. More share!

We’re so excited to see the Covert-Brodie-Pollok House featured in (585) magazine.

When we purchased this 1832 cobblestone home in 2023, we knew we weren’t just buying a building - we were becoming part of its story.

Preserving the history and character of this incredible property while creating a home for Upstate Roots Design has been such a meaningful experience for us. We’re so grateful to (585) for sharing the story of the home, its past caretakers, and the chapter we’re lucky enough to be part of now.

Saved 15 paint colors and somehow more confused than when you started? 😵‍💫

That’s when the color SOS goes up. 🎨

Lisa prepping for today’s consultation…narrowing the options and helping our client find colors that actually work with the light, finishes and feel of the home.

Sometimes you don’t need more options. You just need the right edit.

We’ve had the opportunity to stage a lot more luxury properties this year - and luxury staging comes with its own set of considerations.

These homes naturally have a smaller buyer pool and can take longer to sell. They’re also a larger investment to stage…grander rooms require larger scale furniture, rugs, artwork and more inventory overall.

And at this price point, presentation matters.

This before + after shows exactly why scale is so important. The right furniture helps buyers understand the true size and function of the room, while still letting the architecture be the star.

Shelf styling is one of those details we don’t skimp on.

It’s all about layering height, texture, shape and warmth… while finding the right balance of fullness and breathing room.

When a home gives us a wall of built-ins, we treat it like the feature it is.

Because staging isn’t just about filling a room with furniture. The details finish the story.
