I know some of you can relate to this one. ☝

The court order says TalkingParents, so you’re trying to keep the communication where the order says it should be.

Does that mean the other parent is always going to communicate there? Maybe not 😐

But when communication terms are clearly written into the order, at least there’s less guessing about where the communication is supposed to happen, and there’s a place to keep those conversations documented.

Parenting plans can include specific communication terms, including the use of parenting communication apps like TalkingParents.

THE COURT REJECTED YOUR PAPERWORK
 NOW WHAT? đŸ˜©
If you’re tired of your paperwork getting rejected, resubmitting it, and then getting another rejection
 you may be losing more time simply because you don’t understand exactly what the court is seeking from you.

A rejection doesn’t always mean you have to start all over.
Sometimes it’s a correction, missing information, or an additional document the court is requesting.

But if you don’t understand the rejection, you could keep submitting the paperwork without actually fixing what the court is asking for.

Ever heard of a Request to Enter Default?

A Request to Enter Default is a document that may be filed when the other party has been properly served but does not file a response within the required time.

In simple terms, it asks the court to recognize that the response deadline has passed. Depending on the circumstances of the case, the matter may continue through the default process, either as a true default or with a written agreement between the parties.

Generally, the next step is preparing the judgment for the court’s review, along with any other required documents.

If infidelity played a role in the breakdown of your marriage, your feelings are valid.

But when it comes to the divorce itself, California is generally a no-fault divorce state.

What does that mean?

It means the court isn’t typically deciding who caused the marriage to end. Instead, it focuses on resolving the legal issues in the case, such as property division, spousal support, child support, and, when children are involved, what’s in the child’s best interest.

That doesn’t make what happened okay, and it doesn’t minimize the pain that infidelity can cause. It simply means the divorce process is handled differently than many people expect.

Understanding how the process works can help you set realistic expectations as you move through your case.
