Hey Elder Law Center, P.C. Supporters! We hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year!
Let's begin this new year by taking initiative right now, and pledge to fight elder abuse head-on in 2020!
As 2019 has come to a close, we here at Elder Law Center, P.C. would like to remind all of you that, according to the National Center on Elder Abuse, 2,150,000 seniors are abused each year!
Approximately 1 in 10 Americans aged 60 and over have experienced some form of abuse!
Elder Abuse is generally inflicted by family members, close friends, fiduciaries, financial advisers, care providers, and trusted others that abuse, neglect, steal from, and exploit your older loved ones.
Some of the adverse effects of Elder Abuse can range from serious illness, injury, loss of productivity, isolation, despair, and/or loss of property and income.
