Starting as a small local grocery store in Yucaipa in 1936, has since been a game changer in the grocery store industry and in the communities in which it serves. It was named in the Top 20 companies in the US to provide job security according to Forbes.com and is the largest private employer in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. They have also contributed over $80 million in food and funds to the community and have supported a variety of different organizations. not only focuses on growing a better business for their employees and customers, but they also create time to focus on ways to serve others. Client Highlight: Real Good Foods is transforming the frozen food industry with its delicious high protein, low carbs, grain free, no added sugar, clean ingredient platform. They look to dominate all the frozen food aisle shelves with their chicken crust pizza, cauliflower crust pizza, enchiladas, entrée bowls, stuffed chicken, breakfast sandwiches, and even ice cream. They started business in 2017, when they began trying recipes in a local pizzeria and in 2018 they were making a deal with their first customer. Today, you can find RGF in a wide array of stores with a plethora of options to satisfy your tastebuds and nutritional needs. We want to recognize our partner, Brendan Brandt, who not only works hard at protecting our clients in the courtroom, but also a dedicates himself to his health as an avid runner. Brendan qualified for the Boston Marathon this year, a highly sought-after goal for all marathon runners. The race attracts the best of the best as they have to run through the hilly terrain of Massachusetts bearing all different kinds of weather conditions. Unfortunately, Covid-19 postponed the event and prevented Brendan from running the race this year, but we are still incredibly proud of him for his amazing accomplishment.

Congratulations to Malcolm Smith on the publication of his autobiography, “Malcolm! The Autobiography”, telling of his early biking days and taking his readers through the journey of his career. Malcolm has achieved greatness during his lifetime, becoming a renowned racer winning the Baja 1000 and Baja 500 an unprecedented six and four times respectively. He also won eight gold medals in the International Six Day Trials (ISDT), the Olympics for off-road motorcycling. In 1998, he was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame for his immense amount of hard work and dedication. Not only did he dedicate his life to becoming one of the best racers of all time, but he recognized those in need, donating over $700,000 to orphanages in Baja, Mexico. We are extremely proud of all he has accomplished in life and as a successful businessman!

Bruce Varner is our inspiration; a living legend among us. Bruce established Varner & Brandt 23 years ago after an historic career with Gresham, Varner, et al. Through his hard work and dedication to businesses throughout our region and beyond, he has become an internationally recognized and respected human being. He has orchestrated the most significant transactions, and guided the largest corporations, in the Inland Empire, while also dedicating his time to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Not only has he dedicated his life to the law, but he has spent an immense amount of time serving the community in numerous ways, including as Chairman of University California’s Board of Regents. He is an inspiration to us all, motivating others with his intelligence and intensity and with his compassion and humor. Our first social media post is dedicated to you, Mr. Bruce Doyle Varner.
