The Law Office of Melvin L. Allen Jr, LLC. would like to take a brief moment to make a short communication and acknowledge the many who have suffered during this Pandemic. Many have lost family and friends. Businesses continue to suffer and are holding out for what appears to be a unpredictable future. Other Businesses have shut down and will never recover. What saddens me moreso is endlessly pondering the plight and mental health of those who have been placed in a position whereby they can not maintain their Pre-COVID status quo. I pray they find the appropriate shelter and nourishment.

When does a Leader best use his Platform to affect political or social change is the question of the Century? At the age of 13, I knew I would make a mark on this world somehow as an Attorney, though the answer to the former question eludes me on a weekly basis. I must mention, I am much dissapointed with the State of the Union 20 years after my high school graduation. Learning criminal justice theories in college gave me the impression that we could better diagnose and change the system somehow. I was wrong. Recent political atmospheres and negative societal police interactions has increased awareness, though I fear the pedal may be taken off the gas concerning Reform. I will remain optimistic and I want to express that I will continue to fight for JUSTICE and protect the rights of ALL people who trust my Firm to represent their legal interests.

Although, no Boss or manager, at 38 years old I still have to question overall, “Am I Free?”

Nonetheless, this short communication is spawned by an internal obligation to share to and with those who have followed me during this journey from Arkansas...to Tennessee...to California...to Virginia...and now in Maryland.
