We’re excited to announce we are a recipient of a grant from Virginia Law Foundation!

The Greater Richmond Bar Foundation, in collaboration with the Virginia Law Foundation, the Virginia State Bar, and the Supreme Court of Virginia’s Access to Justice Commission, is advancing Pro Bono Virginia, a statewide initiative to strengthen and sustain pro bono legal services. This grant will support developing permanent statewide infrastructure. It includes the Pro Bono Academy to prepare service-ready volunteer attorneys, enhancements to our Pro Bono Personality quiz, and expansion of the statewide Paladin portal that connects attorneys with pro bono opportunities. Together, these efforts will increase attorney engagement and expand access to quality legal services across Virginia.

Did you hear? Virginia attorneys can report qualifying pro bono legal service hours for CLE credit!

How does it work?
- 1 CLE credit for every 4 hours of pro bono legal service.
- Up to 5 CLE credit hours may be earned per completion period.
- Credits qualify as live credit, but do not satisfy the legal ethics/professionalism requirement.
- Service must be in one of the three direct legal service categories under Rule 6.1 of the Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct: poverty law, civil rights law, or public interest law.
- Service must be referred by a Virginia qualified legal services provider (QLSP).
