Meet Kaitlyn Marksbury, a Legal Assistant at Elder Law Guidance! 👋

Before joining the legal field, Kaitlyn taught middle school science. She brings the same patience, listening skills, and ability to explain complex topics clearly to her work with clients and their families. She enjoys helping people feel welcome, heard, and supported during important life transitions.

Originally from Bloomfield, Kentucky, Kaitlyn now lives in Richmond. She participated in the Disney College Program in 2022, where she strengthened her customer service and communication skills, and graduated in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies.

Outside the office, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying involved in her community, and participating in local theatre productions. We’re glad to have her on the team—please help us welcome Kaitlyn! 💙

Meet Kai Collins, a Legal Assistant at Elder Law Guidance whose commitment to helping families is deeply personal. 💙

Born in Knoxville and raised in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, Kai is a first-generation college graduate. She earned an associate degree in Paralegal Studies and a Paralegal Technical Certificate from Walters State Community College. The love and support of the grandparents who raised her helped inspire her path into elder law.

After losing her father in 2017 without an estate plan in place, Kai experienced how difficult it can be to navigate grief while also facing unanswered questions. That experience shaped her passion for helping families talk about their wishes and plan ahead, so they can face difficult moments with greater clarity.

We’re grateful for the compassion Kai brings to our team and the families we serve. Please join us in welcoming her! 👋

Meet Reina Mecham, a Legal and Financial Assistant at Elder Law Guidance! 👋

Reina joined our team in June 2026. A longtime Richmond resident, she graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Accounting and a Certificate in Corporate Communications. She enjoys working with accurate numbers and financial reports, and she believes clear communication can make a meaningful difference for the people we serve.

After seeing how quickly a health scare or injury can bring stress to a family, Reina came to value the reassurance of a calm presence. She’s proud to be part of a team that helps families navigate difficult moments with care and clarity.

Away from work, Reina enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing her fiddle and guitar. 🎻

Meet Kristen Davis, one of the friendly faces at Elder Law Guidance! 💙

Since joining us as an Administrative Assistant in May 2026, Kristen has especially enjoyed helping clients and working alongside a team that truly cares about them.

Kristen grew up in Somerset, Kentucky, where both of her parents served in the Air Force. After graduating from Southwestern High School, she earned an associate degree in arts from Somerset Community College. She moved to Richmond in 2020 and has called it home ever since.

When she’s not at work, Kristen loves spending time with her cats, Eloise and Maverick, traveling, discovering new coffee shops, and catching up with family and friends.

We’re lucky to have Kristen here—say hello and help us celebrate her! 👋
