Collisions involving tractor trailers often lead to more serious injuries, property damage, and insurance issues that go far beyond your typical car accident. In the aftermath of an crash with a commercial truck be sure to avoid these FIVE mistakes 👇

1. Never assume the truck driver or trucking company will report the crash accurately. Call the police and report the crash yourself!

2. Do not leave the scene before officers arrive and document the accident. If you are physically able, remain at the scene in a safe area until police arrive.

3. Do not admit fault at the scene of the accident. Even apologizing or speculating about what happened may be used to shift the blame. Stick to the basic facts when speaking with law enforcement.

4. Be sure to document the scene and any available evidence. Collect important information like photos of vehicles involved, the truck drivers information, any witness details and note skid marks, debris, traffic signs and road conditions.

5. Most importantly, do not delay seeking medical attention! The likelihood of an internal injury is much higher when an accident involves commercial trucks. They are larger, heavier and more dangerous than regular vehicles.

Today, we get to share with you a lovely little story from one of our Investigators, Brian! While out helping a client at their home, he met Thor, a 200lb dog who came from the same rescue as our Canine Candidate on our billboards, Moose!! (Who is also their neighbor🤯)

Thor has had quite the journey. In late July, He wound up in a rural shelter and was facing euthanasia before stepped in to save him. He was in bad shape; severely underweight and had a multitude of health issues needing to be tended to. He came right from the shelter into a foster home, and after a trip to the emergency vet, several ACL surgeries, and an epilepsy diagnosis, his path to healing got a little bit easier 🤗

THE BEST PART: his foster family chose to adopt him and he was their first foster fail!!! Today, Thor has blossomed into a wonderful dog full of love, making friends wherever he goes. However, he is still somehow convinced that despite his size, he is a lap dog. (Note: After careful review of photo evidence, we as Thor’s lawyers find him not guilty on all counts, look at that face, NOT GUILTY 🙅‍♂️) 

His parents describe him as dramatic, stubborn, and endlessly expressive with his funny faces. They are thankful to Thor for making them laugh every single day and we are thankful for rescue places like Beagles and Bentleys for giving dogs like Thor a second chance 💕Check out his insta to see more of him!!!

Last Friday, some members of our team were lucky enough to participate in a contest at a local game to see who could assemble a burger faster on their field, the catch? THEY WERE THE BUNS!! Congrats to Lainey and Mackenzie for taking the victory!

Our office didn’t have many soccer fans available today, but the ones that could, banded together in support of the world cup starting and their favorite players!!! Happy Friday everyone, enjoy the weekend and don’t forget the U.S. play later today at 9:00PM ⚽️
