Our entire office had the pleasure of meeting the winners of our rescue dog billboard contest last week!! Hailey and Sanctuary Rescue visited our Richmond office, and we got to congratulate them for their big win and present them with their checks 🥳🥳 We learned Hailey loves to travel in her little push chair and she was super sweet and so happy to meet everyone! We even got to roll out the red carpet for her!!!

If you don’t know, Sanctuary rescue is a local non-profit headquartered in Midlothian, Virginia. They operate entirely without a brick-and-mortar facility which means they don’t have a resource center, and instead rely entirely on their community of fosters and volunteers! We are so happy they won our contest and we can’t wait to see more of Hailey throughout the year. Our Holiday billboards will be going up soon, so keep a look out for her smiling face!

Congratulations again and thank you everyone who voted!!

Thank you, Kristen, for your dedication over the years, and to many more! 🥳🎉🥳

Ever wondered what to do after a trucking accident? Look no further! Swipe and educate yourself as these accidents are not the same as regular car accidents.

Trucks are heavier and often involve a lot more variables than a more normal wreck. More companies are often involved, deadlines are tight and it’s easy for evidence to be lost. Be sure to educate yourself so you are prepared!!

Extra special shout out to anyone who submitted their animal from a rescue we had not heard of before 💙 Thanks for spreading the word on them.

Sunny is a sweet, 6 month old puppy adopted in August from Friends United with the Richmond Shelter (FURS) and has been a wonderful addition to her owners lives! They had been on the search for a dog that fit well into their family as their son, has allergies and asthma, meaning any potential dog would need to be tested. Thankfully, one day they had the opportunity to play with Sunny for two hours at an adoption stand and didn’t have any flare ups!

Sunny’s family are beyond grateful to be granted with the opportunity to welcome him into their home. Sunny loves running on sands at the beach, fishing with her big brother and following the geese at the lake. Every day they look forward to coming home to Sunny standing on his hind legs, waiting to trade kisses for belly and back rubs.

If you want Sunny and _f_u_r_s_ to win, be sure to vote for them everyday in our contest at joelbieber.com/contest. The winning dog will star on our billboards, receive $1,000 and their rescue will receive $3,000! You can vote once a day, every day, until polls close at 11:59pm, Sep 9th. Thanks to everyone who has been following along! WE HAVE JUST TWO DAYS LEFT!!

Barbara was rescued along with her four puppies thanks to Beagles and Bentleys in February 2025. She was in rough shape, with patchy and thin fur, and her puppies had gotten into some type of chemical liquid prior to being picked up that left them with a cough and their throats and tummies needing attention. No one knows what happened to them prior, but thanks to B & B they were on path to getting better! These days, a year and a half later, her owners say Barbara is really coming into her own and gaining confidence with the world. While still a little shy at first, she’s starting to greet people and even meet other friendly dogs now!

The best way to her heart? A tennis ball. Her owners make sure to have at least 47 different ones of all shapes and sizes lying around the house at all times, and she knows the names of all of them! Sometimes, they even wake up to find tennis balls in the sheets that have been left there overnight. They describe Barbara as being famously stubborn, and will debate you on just about anything, though, she conveniently turns into a complete sweetheart when snuggles and her toys are on the table. She is fully convinced she is the undisputed ruler of the household – and to be fair, she makes a strong case!

Barbara treats “bougie” not as a phrase, but as a full-time commitment. She is a true terrier—incredibly stubborn (some might call it hardheaded, the verdict is still out), fast as lightning with energy that never ends, and very loyal to her people.

If you want Barbara and Beagles & Bentleys to win, be sure to vote for them every day at joelbieber.com/contest. The winning dog will star on our billboards, receive $1,000 and their rescue will receive $3,000! You can vote once a day, every day, until polls close at 11:59pm, Sep 9th. Thanks to everyone who has been following along and happy Sunday!!

Today we are highlighting Millie from For the love of Poodles Rescue of Richmond, VA (FLOP). Millie is a female, miniature Long-haired Dachshund. She was 4 years old in the Summer of 2025 when she was surrendered to FLOP by a family that had her since she was a puppy, but found their lifestyle was no longer suited to having pets. A volunteer foster for dogs from FLOP, helped Millie when she came into their care and went directly to her house while she underwent medical and social assessments. That volunteer was the daughter of Millie’ s future owner!

Her owner was a retired single man who, at the time, had no desire to have a dog again. He had met many wonderful dogs being fostered and never succumbed, but Millie had other ideas for the two of them. She made it clear she loved him and he quickly found he could not let her go to someone else. He describes her as a remarkably quiet, gentle and loving girl with a wonderful social presence. She has been a member of their family since August 2025, and they couldn’t imagine a moment without her!

If you want Millie and FLOP to win, be sure to vote for them every day at https://joelbieber.com/contest/ The winning dog will star on our billboards, receive $1,000 and their rescue will receive $3,000! You can vote once a day, every day, until polls close at 11:59pm, Sep 9th. Thanks to everyone who has been following along!

Today, we are highlighting Ember from Richmond SPCA 🐾 Ember’s humans had been talking about getting a dog for a while, but it was not until January’s ice storm that they finally decided to visit the Richmond SPCA. Ember was a shy, tiny girl, but within just two days, she blossomed into a playful, mischievous, little fluffball who quickly learned just how to use her cuteness to her advantage!!

At home, Ember loves being the little sister to her two cat siblings, who have somehow taught her the art of perching on furniture 🤦 She is spoiled with treats and has become a huge fan of ice cream and pup cups. (Such a big fan that she won’t even hesitate to try to steal some of yours if you aren’t looking!)

She is a frequent visitor at Ruff Canine Club here in Richmond, which is her favorite place to be. She loves water and swimming in small pools or along riverbanks, and is hoping to visit the beach or a lake soon! With her playful personality, mischievous spirit, and undeniable cuteness, Ember has quickly become a beloved member of her family.

If you want Ember and Richmond SPCA to win, be sure to vote for them every day at joelbieber.com/contest. The winning dog will star on our billboards, receive $1,000 and their rescue will receive $3,000! You can vote once a day, every day, until polls close at 11:59pm, Sep 9th. Thanks to everyone who has been sharing the stories of these sweet dogs and keep an eye out for the next rescue we will be highlighting tomorrow!!

Today we are highlighting Hailey from Sanctuary Rescue !! Hailey is her owner’s heart, soulmate, best friend and dedicated little helper 💙. Hailey is in charge of letting everyone know what is happening in the house. She tells her owner when someone is at the door with a package, when it’s time for a nap, and only asks for more love in return.

When she gets off work Hailey helps by taking off her owner’s socks and laying them on the bed. She takes her job as a house-helper very seriously, never missing an opportunity to notify everyone what’s happening outside. Delivery drivers, birds or squirrels, all is important for her to announce! If a timer is going off, she always comes running into the room, barking to let her know the bell went off. Hailey is the best part of her day, and her owner says rescued her from a life of loneliness.

Swipe to see Hailey and enjoy the bonus video from their owner!!

If you want Hailey and Sanctuary Rescue to win, be sure to vote for them every day at joelbieber.com/contest.
