Alvin Wolff has built a 47-year career in St. Louis focused on medical malpractice litigation. He came to the field about 41 years ago when an anesthesia accident case arrived at his office — a moment he described as leaving him “hooked.”
His work includes a wrong-sided brain surgery case that kept malpractice caps out of Missouri for three years and a radiology case involving a child born without arms that reached the Missouri Supreme Court before a verdict was obtained. Last year, he helped resolve a Minnesota matter for $39 million.
Known for taking on cases others decline, Wolff said identifying the right cases has grown more critical annually.
