Sent my 6 year old into starbs with my card . Told him to get himself a cake pop and me an iced black tea, he came back with an iced chai latte and a cake pop 😑

PSA KARENs in the group. He LOVES Starbucks and told me he wanted to go in and do it himself. The windows are exactly that. Windows I can see in and he can see out so I’m watching him. I live in a smaller town and on the main road there are a handful of stores not that busy.
Ain’t even mad about the chai because he’s so cute .

✨ Starbucks-Inspired Red Velvet Cake Frappuccino 🎂🍓

📋 Ingredients (Serves 2):
1 cup unsweetened almond milk 🥥 (or regular milk)
¼ cup sugar-free red velvet syrup 🍓 (or 1 tbsp beet juice + ½ tsp vanilla + 1 tbsp sugar-free cocoa powder)
2 tbsp sugar-free cream cheese frosting 🍬 (or 1 tbsp erythritol + ½ tsp cream cheese extract)
1 tbsp sugar-free vanilla syrup 🍬 (or 1 tbsp erythritol + ½ tsp vanilla extract)
1 cup ice cubes ❄️
Whipped cream (made from heavy cream) 🍦
Red velvet cake crumbs 🎂 (keto-friendly: almond flour + cocoa powder)
Edible red glitter ✨ (optional)

📝 Instructions:
1️⃣ Blend the Base: In a blender, combine almond milk, red velvet syrup, cream cheese frosting, vanilla syrup, and ice. Blend until smooth and creamy.
2️⃣ Chill & Serve: Pour into two tall clear plastic cups with the Starbucks logo visible.
3️⃣ Top It Off: Add a dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle red velvet crumbs and edible glitter.

Lids are terrible! After a couple of sips…the coffee stains the lid and it looks like you picked up the cup from the street or a dirty garbage can. The sticker doesn’t really work well when traveling and leaks from both the sipping opening to the airvent (SEDA). I’m a Starbucks fan and this introduction of the paper lid is not good and the worst ever idea! Ruined a good cup of coffee! 👁️ (POST EDIT: This order was a Tall coffee with a shot of espresso and a sprinkel of cinnamon which most likely contributed to the ordeal). The new CEO from Chipotle has some reconsiderations to go over! Bring Howard back!

Personal Cup/Drive Thru *UPDATE*

I posted yesterday about the incident using my Personal Cup in the drive thru…I am unable to edit my original post so I just wanted to clarify…

When I arrived at the window to pick up my drink, my drink was already fully made in what looked like a small scale blender container. It was NOT made in a throw away cup that I could take. The barista came to the window with the layered Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew fully made in the container and had to pour it into my reusable cup at the window. This mixing the entire drink (cold foam, etc).

Had it been made in a throwaway plastic cup, I would have had no issue taking it as is. The problem was that they could NOT give me the container that was holding the drink. The only option was to pour it into my cup at the window, or for them to take my cup and remake the drink in my cup.

This is why I wondered if this was common practice when using a personal cup at the drive thru. If this is typical, I will no longer use my personal cup in the drive thru so as to avoid having to have them pour my drink (and therefore mix the entire contents) into my cup when I arrive at the window☺️
