HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE A STRONG CASE?
"In the legal profession, when we say “lack of merit,” we mean the personal injury claim is not supported by the evidence presented. It is the duty of the attorney to evaluate individual cases and correctly inform the client on whether or not they have a strong case. When this does not happen, the client’s expectations often become unrealistic.
In terms of damage expectations, it is the duty of the attorney to accurately inform their clients of what they can reasonably anticipate in damages (aka “awarded money”). Unfortunately, some attorneys will lead their clients to believe that there will be a “big payout” at the end in order to retain the client. This tactic never ends well for client or attorney."
