Let’s be very clear about this:
You have an absolute right to deny entry to anyone seeking to count your houseguests without a warrant.
You can refer them to the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution:
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated.”
And if that doesn’t work you can refer them to me.
Indoor house parties are limited to 25 people after a number of clusters broke out from the gatherings, Gov. Phil Murphy said.

NJ MVC OPEN FOR BUSINESS: Our clients have been calling every day asking about MVC. Well the wait is over! Just remember to bring your boxing gloves. Nice to see things getting back to normal in Jersey 🚙🤕🥊
Police closed one Motor Vehicle Commission agency and responded to a fight at another, as drivers faces long lines across the state before MVC agencies opened for the first time in three months.
Independence Day 2020 🙏🏻 🇺🇸 🙏🏿
This photo captures, completely, the meaning of today 🇺🇸 🙏 ❤️
We had 8 virtual Court appearances this week. And yeah this pretty much sums it up 😁
My mom never had the chance to see me in Court. But I suspect it would have went something like this! Lol. Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful moms out there ❤️
We will represent this cow. For free. 🐄

Is Throwback Thursday still a thing? If so here’s a video from before Al Mollo was gray 👨🏼🦳 The content is as true today as it was back then. Prior arrests remain on your record forever— even if the charges were downgraded or dismissed. Contact our office with questions about an expungement. You can also email Al Mollo directly at [email protected].

All NJ municipal courts closed for the next two weeks. Court appearances will be rescheduled.
In case we see you in Court ... doesn’t mean we don’t love you! Remember that good habits and social distancing keeps everyone healthy. 😷👋🏻
NJ Supreme Court has issued Notice to the Bar on Coronavirus. State courthouses remain open at this time. Municipal courts to make determinations based on local conditions. We advise clients with heath concerns to use caution and contact our office in advance of court hearing. We will have appearances excused and rescheduled.
The Oceanport Court meets in Shrewsbury on Wednesday mornings at 7:15 a.m. 🥱☕️🌞
We have appeared in nearly all of NJ’s 565 municipal courts. Today was our first visit to the Knowlton Court. A quaint courtroom in what looked like an old school building classroom, with court announcements written in chalk on a blackboard. Friendly court staff and genuine rural charm. On the Jersey side of the Delaware Water Gap, just a lovely part of the state.

Beautiful day in Gloucester County, NJ
Ok so maybe these fellas aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed ... but hey give them credit for their honesty. Believe it or not “a bag full of drugs” bag alone wouldn’t be enough to justify a search without a warrant. Still not a very smart way to transport your drugs. 🙄
Two Florida men were arrested and charged with drug trafficking after police found a package labeled “Bag Full of Drugs” in their vehicle during a traffic stop.
LICENSE PLATE FRAME UPDATE: Last year we posted this photo related to a case in which our client was pulled over for this license plate frame. The arresting officer claimed that the plate was "obstructed" because the "N" and "J" in New Jersey were minimally covered. Crazy, right? This has been going on for years. We have been vigorously challenging these motor vehicle stops. Yesterday, the New Jersey Appellate Division agreed with our position. In the case of State v. Roman-Rosado, the court ruled that police can no longer pull over vehicles based solely on a partially obstructed license plate.
DO YOU HAVE A LICENSE PLATE FRAME? Check this out.
This is an actual photo of our client’s license plate (number obscured to protect identity). He was pulled over by police and ultimately charged with certain serious offenses. The license plate frame was the ONLY reason for the stop.
Do you think this is fair? Neither do we.
New Jersey traffic law 39:3-33 states:
“No person shall drive a motor vehicle which has a license plate frame that conceals or otherwise obscures any part of any marking imprinted upon the vehicle plate.”
Officers routinely pull over drivers for this minor violation. Check your plate and if you have one of these frames— take it off.
We are challenging the constitutionality of this stop and arguing that all charges should be dismissed.
