Gina-Marie is also a Qualified Mediator for those individuals who are interested in taking a less adversarial approach to their situation. The training and experience in mediation has also provided her with the negotiation skills necessary to settle all types of cases. While a large portion of Gina-Marie's practice is devoted to Family Law matters, she has not forgotten her roots in the Criminal and Municipal areas of the law. She continues to provide zealous representation for those facing criminal and municipal charges. Gina-Marie, is admitted to practice before the courts of New York and New Jersey. She has a Bachelor's Degree, cm laude, in Political Science from Hunter College and a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. Gina-Marie is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Middlesex and Monmouth County Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Assigned Counsel Plan/18B Panel in Richmond County, New York. She was certified by the Family Court Division of Monmouth County for the Supervised Visitation Program. Gina-Marie is also a Qualified Mediator. Prior to joining the Karcher Law Firm, Gina-Marie served as a prosecuting attorney with the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York. She began her career as an Assistant District Attorney and was subsequently promoted to Senior Trial Attorney, Deputy Bureau Chief, and completed her career with the Kings County District Attorney as a 1st Deputy Bureau Chief. Having served as a trial attorney and supervisor for over a decade, she has prosecuted a wide array of offenses ranging from DWIs to drug offenses to violent assaults. She has also handled many family related cases such as domestic violence, elder abuse and crimes against children.
