Nicole D'Andrea NJ Real Estate More than a real estate agent—I connect people, solve problems, and help clients make confident decisions. Passion is my power — and connection is the point.

Serving buyers, sellers, investors, and businesses throughout New Jersey. I’m Nicole D’Andrea — a New Jersey–based real estate professional, TV host, and human-centered design leader. I work at the intersection of property, technology, and community, helping people navigate big decisions with clarity, empathy, and strategy. Whether I’m guiding a residential or commercial real estate transaction, hosting a national TV segment, or advising on UX and accessibility, my focus is always the same: people first. I believe strong outcomes come from honest conversations, smart systems, and real human connection. I’m known for being direct, creative, and deeply invested in the people I work with. I don’t believe in fluff, shortcuts, or one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe in showing up, doing the work, and building things that actually make life easier and more accessible for others.

AI is showing up in more parts of real estate—from home searches and listing copy to pricing tools and client follow-up.

These tools can help. But big decisions still need people who ask questions, check the facts, and understand what’s happening.

The question isn’t just “Can AI do this?” It’s “Do we still understand how it works—and what happens if we rely on it too much?”

Where do you think people should keep a human in the loop?

A few years ago, I had my first anaphylactic reaction while I was on a Zoom call.

Then it happened again a week later.

The first time, I literally watched my face transform in the bathroom mirror like I was in The Nutty Professor.

It started with a tiny itch in my eye. Then it got itchier. My contacts started drying up, my eyes felt weird, and I could tell they were swelling. I told my team I had to go hung up my call, I ran into the bathroom, looked in the mirror, and watched my entire face start changing.

At this point, I STILL had no idea what was happening. I had never had allergies before.

Then my nose started getting congested. Then my throat started getting worse. Then I was gasping for air, trying to catch my breath.

So I called my girlfriend. “
“What are you doing?”
“I just sat down to eat a sandwich.”
“You need to take me to urgent care.”
“Can I eat my sandwich first?”
“ No. Absolutely not.”

She came right over.

The second I walked into urgent care, they called 911 and immediately gave me epinephrine.

And let me tell you — they are VERY dramatic when they drive that thing into your leg.

Then the Benadryl IV.

Has anyone ever been high on Benadryl? Zero stars. Do not recommend. It is NOT one of the fun drugs.

Anyway, that was week one.

Week two, it happened AGAIN.

This time I was at a real estate event when I felt that little eye itch.

I grabbed my purse, jumped in my car, and drove myself straight to the hospital. I had an EpiPen with me, but I still don’t know if I could actually stab myself in the leg with it. Although I’m pretty sure when breathing becomes optional, you figure it out.

It took about six months of testing to learn that suddenly I was reacting to foods I had eaten my entire life.

One of them was banana.

I thought banana was the big offender, so I have avoided bananas like it was life or death.

Fast-forward to today.

Apparently our phones are connected to everything now, because my health record pops up and there’s the list of foods I reacted to.

I see banana. Minimal. Possibly barely anything.

Then I keep reading.

Garlic.

Onion.

TOP CONTENDERS.

Did I mention I’m Italian?

This is bu****it.

The whole allergy mess seemed to start around the same period when my cortisol and some of my immune-related labs were acting up, and ever since then my body has apparently decided that foods I’ve eaten my entire life are now bad.

But garlic and onion?

Come on. There are limits.

Peeps, do yourself a favor, stop stressing over the little things because when you do s**t like this happens.

Apparently I’ve always had a creative side. 😂

And believe it or not, creativity matters in real estate.

Finding the right home isn’t always straightforward. Sometimes the numbers don’t line up perfectly. Sometimes the obvious solution doesn’t work. Sometimes you have to think outside the box, get creative, and find another way to make the pieces fit.

That’s actually one of my favorite parts of what I do — problem solving.

I’ll take the contract seriously.
I’ll take your money seriously.
I’ll take your goals seriously.

But I’ll also bring a little creativity to the process.

And don’t worry — I’m not taking you on any showings looking like this. 😂

The reason I’m posting this is simple: I think it’s time we talk about it.

I work with several real estate attorneys, and the majority of them are professional, collaborative, and understand that we’re all working toward the same goal: protecting the client and getting the transaction to the closing table.

But every once in a while, you come across an attorney who seems to treat the real estate agent like their role is somehow less important.

Leaving the agent off emails. Not communicating directly. Having conversations or making decisions that affect negotiations without including the person who has been managing those negotiations from the beginning.

That can create unnecessary problems in a transaction.

I don’t know where the disconnect between some attorneys and real estate agents comes from, but it needs to change.

Real estate transactions are collaborative.

The attorney has an important role. So does the lender. So does title. And yes, so does the real estate agent.

Agents are often the ones negotiating the deal, managing personalities, solving problems, communicating between parties, keeping timelines moving, and putting out fires before anyone else even realizes there’s a problem.

A law degree brings legal expertise, and I respect that.

But it also does not mean that questions from another professional should be dismissed.

We have access to more information and research tools today than ever before, and professionals should expect informed questions.

I will ask questions when something doesn’t make sense.

I will speak up when something appears inconsistent with the contract, the process, or my client’s interests.

Not because I’m trying to practice law.

Because I’m doing my job.

And if something goes sideways later, I want a clear record showing that I raised the concern when I saw it.

Ego does not help a transaction.
Communication does.
Respect does.
Collaboration does.

At the end of the day, none of us should be trying to prove who has more authority.

We should be focused on protecting the client and getting the deal done.

Surely, there must be a way to use artificial intelligence to make human beings smarter from birth.

If we can’t beat the robots, then let’s put them to work making us better—before we end up somewhere in the middle of the food chain.

We built artificial intelligence. Now, is there a startup willing to build intelligent humans?

Because right now, AI is moving into our future with no inspection, no appraisal, and barely any attorney review—and somehow, we’re all still signing at closing. 😂

Real estate isn’t just about bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage.

It’s about the view on your morning walk. The community around you. The places that make you stop and think, Yeah, I could live here.

You’re not just buying a house. You’re choosing how you want your life to feel.

That’s the part I never forget. 🏡☀️
