It’s National Hispanic Heritage Month!

!Hola! Me llamo Ben. Yo soy uno de los abogados de nuestro pequeño bufete Medina & Jimenez Law LLC aquí en Pueblo, Colorado. La parte más difícil de mi trabajo son las emociones y dolores que siento cuando alguien me cuenta su historia. La gente contrata abogados cuando algo malo ha pasado en su vida, o para protegerse de algo malo. Yo sé que no es fácil hablar con un profesional sobre las partes más íntimas de su vida. Por eso, quería compartir mi historia y mi motivación con la esperanza de que le ayude a sentirse más cómodo trabajando con nosotros.

Soy hijo de dos inmigrantes mexicanos. Mi familia, como nuestro bufete, era pequeña. Solamente mi papá, mamá, dos hermanos mayores, y mi hermosa hermana. Hay mucha tristeza en la historia de mi familia, pero gracias a Dios, todavía estamos echándole ganas. No era perfecta, y hasta hoy estamos separados en diferentes estados. Lo bueno es que todavía nos estamos sanando y apoyándonos mutuamente. Las dificultades de mi infancia me prepararon para la dureza de vivir en los Estados Unidos. Aprendí que, si no te asimilas con la norma, hay menos oportunidades y apoyos. Yo nací con más privilegios que mis padres. Ellos no tenían las mismas oportunidades para la educación que yo recibí. Por eso, yo aprendí inglés en la escuela. Sí me olvido mucho de mi español, pero estoy practicando más.

🏆🙌🛻 Big win for Medina & Jimenez Law this morning! Attorney Erica Medina was successful in recovering a beautiful 1964 Chevrolet pickup truck and various other items belonging to her client, which were being wrongfully kept by a family member after a dispute. Attorney Medina showed the District Court judge with evidence and argument that her client was the rightful owner and was entitled to possession of their property. After a full hearing, the judge agreed with Attorney Medina, and a smooth return of the property happened soon after. The client left court feeling vindicated, and finally reunited with their prized truck months after a family disagreement left the truck in the wrong hands.

If you have personal property that is being wrongfully held by someone else, you have the option of filing a “replevin” with the court and asking for an order that the property being returned. The attorneys at Medina & Jimenez Law are ready and willing to fight for the return of your property.
