💰 GETTING AN OFFER IS EXCITING. BUT THE NEGOTIATION IS WHERE THE REAL MONEY CAN BE WON OR LOST.
A high offer price can look great on paper… but the highest offer isn't always the best offer.
Before you celebrate, look at the entire deal:
💵 PRICE — What are you actually walking away with?
📅 TIMING — Does the closing date work for you?
🔎 CONTINGENCIES — How much uncertainty are you accepting?
🛠️ REPAIRS — What could come out of your proceeds?
💰 CREDITS — Are you giving away more than you realize?
📋 TERMS — What obligations are hidden in the fine print?
This is why having a strategy after the offer arrives matters just as much as getting the offer in the first place.
The goal isn't simply to say “YES” to the highest number.
🎯 The goal is to negotiate the strongest overall deal while protecting your money, timeline, and interests.
A calm, experienced approach can make a significant difference when emotions are high and the stakes are real.
