Today we honor and celebrate Julie Martinez, who is retiring after years of incredible service as a Victim Advocate Supervisor. She has been serving Crook County since 1991 💛

Julie has spent her career standing beside those who needed strength, offering compassion, guidance, and hope in some of life’s hardest moments. Her dedication, leadership, and heart have left a lasting impact on countless lives and on all of us who have had the privilege to work alongside her.

Julie, thank you for your years of service, your wisdom, and your unwavering heart for others. As you step into this next chapter, may your days be filled with joy, peace, and the blessings you’ve so freely given to others. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will continue to shine bright! 💐✨

Tribute to Law Enforcement

On August 15th, we gathered for a Law Enforcement Appreciation BBQ, we were not just celebrating a day, but the dedication, sacrifices, and tireless efforts of those who work day in and day out to keep our community safe. We were here to honor our heroes—those who don’t wear capes, but wear badges with pride and commitment.

We presented awards to Deputy Miller and Evidence Tech Amy Van Donk who exemplify the true spirit of service and dedication. Their contributions to law enforcement go beyond their duties—they inspire those around them, set the standard for excellence, and show what it means to serve with integrity, compassion, and perseverance.

Deputy Miller, with unwavering commitment, protects and serves our community, often in the most challenging and difficult situations. You handle every call with professionalism and a genuine desire to help, no matter the circumstance. Your courage and selflessness do not go unnoticed, and, we recognize your dedication to making our community safer.

Evidence Tech Amy, your precision, attention to detail, and behind-the-scenes work ensure that justice is served in the most meticulous way possible. You play an integral role in the work we do, and your contributions help to build the foundation of our legal system.

To all the men and women in law enforcement, thank you for your unwavering commitment to keeping us safe. Whether you’re on patrol, responding to calls, or working behind the scenes, your work matters. You make a difference, and we are grateful for the sacrifices you make every day.
