Although the election did not go as hoped, I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement. But for the end result, it was an extraordinarily positive experience. I met a lot of good people and went many places I had never been.

Part of the positive experience was the fact that we three candidates were committed to running campaigns without drama or animosity. I thank Kelli and Ryan for that. Congratulations to Judge-elect Flanigan. I wish him success.

At the outset I said that I was not seeking office because I didn't like being a lawyer. So, I will keep lawyering and be glad to do it. Again, thank all of you who voted for me.

In person early voting started today, May 1 and runs through May 11, including both Saturdays. You can vote 8:30 - 4:30 at Mercer County Courthouse or Covenant Baptist Church in Princeton, or Four Seasons Answering Service in Bluewell, or Bluefield Auditorium in Bluefield.
