Hill Wallack's Henry Chou has written an important article about the new Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). If your company was formed in the U.S., this law requires you to submit a beneficial ownership information (BOI) report to FinCEN — unless you meet one of 23 specific exceptions.

Key dates to keep in mind:

▶ Companies formed before January 1, 2024 must submit their BOI report by January 1, 2025.
▶ Companies formed in 2024 have 90 days to submit their BOI report.
▶ Companies formed in 2025 and beyond must submit their BOI report within 30 days.

Failure to comply with these requirements could result in fines of up to $10,000 or even 2 years in prison for willful violations.

Last Sunday, Barbara Kirk's son Michael completed the Ben to the Shore Bike Tour from the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia to Atlantic City NJ.

Hill Wallack LLP proudly sponsored the event which raised funds to benefit the Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides support to first responders and families.

Our Red Bank office visited Nicholas Creamery, Princeton & Yardley offices had a visit from Mr. Softee Ice Cream Truck, and our NYC office took a field trip to Van Leeuwen Ice Cream at Grand Central Station!
