A good overview of the reassessment process - step 4 is critical. Considering the sheer number off properties to reassess and that most of the valuation is computer generated, assessments are often wrong and the owner is left with high bills year after year.

All property owners will have a chance to appeal their assessment. Many should seriously consider doing so to get the best possible outcome for years to come!

Some believe that a County wide reassessment means everybody's taxes go up. But the reality is, some will go up and some will go down, as the law requires the reassessment to be "revenue neutral".

The best way to be one of the ones that go down is to be prepared to appeal your taxes after the reassessment! Keep an eye on the process, and when the time comes, call us about an appeal!

Commissioners settled a lawsuit and agreed to the first reassessment in decades.

Love when I can assist clients in building new businesses in Schuylkill County! The tax breaks for this project will allow the owners to invest more in infrastructure and have some breathing room to get their venue off the ground before the full weight of the tax load kicks in. Can’t wait to visit Lakewood Park in 2019!
