Meet Diane McMillan, an attorney at Allegiant Law who focuses her practice on complex litigation, legal malpractice, and medical malpractice.
During law school, Diane clerked with the Federal Public Defender, Oregon Public Broadcasting, and a civil litigation firm. She also volunteered with the civil rights and youth justice sections at Oregon Justice Resource Center. Diane brings a strong analytical framework and dedication to public service to her work at the firm.
Diane is a passionate advocate for prisoners’ rights. She recently argued before the Oregon Supreme Court on an administrative rule challenge (Lewis v. Oregon Department of Corrections) that affects the liberty rights of prisoners and criminal defendants throughout Oregon.
Outside of the office, Diane enjoys taking scenic walks with her dogs and spending time with close friends. She also plays pickleball every Sunday and is currently learning to play pool. Swipe to see pictures of Diane and her dogs, Emmy and Finnegan, and her cat, Prince. She also shared a tip on how attorneys can effectively advocate for their clients.
