We may call to confirm an address only to assist in locating the defendant to serve, but never ask for private information in person, email, or over the phone!!
As professional process servers and investigators, we can obtain your Private info through legal means to assist in locating the subject. If someone portray or pose as a Maine Process Servers and are asking for your DOB, Social, and or financial, they are not us or an actual process server. SCAM!!!
They may also have the ability do Spoof the call with Caller ID showing up as our phone # or law enforcement.

§1501. Assault on process server
Whoever knowingly and willfully OBSTRUCTS, resists, or opposes any officer of the United States, or other person duly authorized, in serving, or attempting to serve or execute, any legal or judicial writ or process of any court of the United States, or United States magistrate judge; or

Whoever assaults, beats, or wounds any officer or other person duly authorized, knowing him to be such officer, or other person so duly authorized, in serving or executing any such writ, rule, order, process, warrant, or other legal or judicial writ or process-

Shall, except as otherwise provided by law, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

California Code of Civil Procedure Section 415.21 states “notwithstanding any other provision of law, any person shall be granted access to a gated community for a reasonable period of time for the purpose of performing lawful service of process or service of a subpoena.”

Failure to admit the server could require him or her to notify local law enforcement and to arrest the security guard for INTERFERENCE WITH THE LAWFUL SUBPOENA SERVICE.

If your home has personal security that won’t allow a process server to knock on the main door to serve government papers, then serving the security guard is good enough and hopefully this judge will see that as well in story below!!! Just make sure you have video/photo documentation that you tried to inform the owner of upcoming court case but was stopped to reach them at their home.
