Over the past seven years at SKH, Nicholas has grown from intake specialist, to legal assistant, to law clerk, and now he is studying for the Bar Exam on his way to becoming an SKH attorney. SKH Shareholder Kyle Piro, along with Emily Lewis and Kelsey Keeling, recently attended The Open Arts Center grand opening in support of artist Elizabeth Vanderliet. SKH is always excited to support the arts and the spaces that foster creativity, collaboration, and community connection. The Open Arts Center is home to 22 artist studios and collaborative spaces in Bend, Oregon, where members can create, connect, and explore their work. It also serves as a welcoming third space for teens, offering classes, workshops, and mentorship opportunities.

On Monday, SKH Shareholder Anna Friedhoff toured the Ronald McDonald House to learn more about this amazing non-profit and all the meaningful work that they do. On Saturday night, SKH celebrated the career and legacy of Anna Maria Lopez - the greatest female athlete in Oregon history. Anna Maria retired as the athletic director at St. Mary's Academy.

SKH President, Joel Kent, furthered his volleyball coaching career at St. Mary’s Academy from 1996-1998.

Then, Anna Friedhoff graduated in 2006 after four years as a varsity student-athlete.

SKH was honored to celebrate Anna Maria and shower her with blue and white flowers, featured at the podium with her retired jersey.

The SKH office in Bend was excited to donate a large vinyl printer to the Crook County School District Print Shop. SKH Shareholder Joel Kent met with district employees Calvin and Kade for the pickup. What was once an unused printer is now a valuable resource for the Crook County School District, and we are always grateful for opportunities to support local schools with tools that help students, staff, and programs thrive.

On Saturday, the SKH office in Astoria was pleased to sponsor and participate in the Astoria Community Foundation Astoria Run on the River Half Marathon, 5K & 10K Sponsored by Fort George. It was a beautiful morning to be part of an event that not only brings the community together, but also supports 4th-grade swimming lessons and grants for Astoria Parks youth programs.
