Yes – but it depends on your level of fault. Insurance adjusters will reduce offers to settle when you are partially at fault. If your case goes to trial a jury will decide the percentage of your fault and reduce the damage award by that much. So, if the jury awards $20,000 in damages and finds that you are 25% at fault, you will receive an adjusted award of $15,000.
