Every spring in Kitsap County, we pull out the patio sets and realize winter left its mark. Here’s how to get your outdoor furniture ready for summer BBQs and gatherings:

Fabric cushions: Mix 1 tbsp dish soap + 1 tbsp borax in warm water. Scrub, rinse, and let dry fully in the sun. Never store damp—mold loves that.

Mildew stains: Use 1 cup bleach + 1 gallon water + a sq**rt of dish soap. Apply, wait 15 minutes, scrub, rinse. Test first on dark colors.

Furniture frames:

Metal → Wash with soapy water, treat rust spots early.

Wood/teak → Clean with teak cleaner, finish with teak oil to prevent cracks.

Plastic/resin → Magic eraser for stains, finish with car wax for UV protection.
