We are often asked “where are the Ozarks,” and other questions about this area that we have called home for the entirety of our band’s existence. We never moved away from here because it was not only home, but the beautiful surroundings inspired so many of our songs.

This map was presented by our great friend Curtis Copeland at the Smithsonian Folklife festival last July when we played on the National Mall on July 4th. We have posted this before and the debate usually begins on what defines the Ozarks but we love this map.

Here is a short essay about this beautiful area we are proud to call home.

The Ozarks, located primarily in the states of Missouri and Arkansas, is a region known for its stunning natural beauty and unique cultural heritage.
