This week, Parker is back at LSU Law, not as a student, but teaching the next generation of trial lawyers.
"It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since I took this same course," Parker said. "The trial skills LSU taught me have been invaluable throughout my career. I'm grateful for the professors who invested in me, and it's a privilege to come back each year and pay that forward."
This year, LSU Law named Parker a faculty leader for its Trial Advocacy Program. He leads a distinguished faculty team that includes a Louisiana Supreme Court justice, a state district court judge, a former Louisiana Association for Justice president, a nationally recognized trial lawyer and author, and several accomplished medical malpractice attorneys.
But the best part is working with the students.
"The talent and potential in these classrooms is incredible," Parker said. "LSU opened so many doors for me. I'm grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in preparing the next generation of Louisiana trial lawyers."
From student to lawyer to teacher... Twenty-five years later, it's good to be back at LSU Law.
