Team Mirador joined the East Bay La Raza Lawyers Association for its 2026 Judicial Excellence & Scholarship Gala, celebrating judicial leadership and supporting scholarships that help aspiring Latino law students pursue careers in law.

Elizabeth Moreno, Luis Landeros, and Kathy Riveira represented our firm at this year's celebration. The evening also held special significance for Luis, who previously received an EBLRLA scholarship.

We're proud to support an organization that continues to create opportunities for future attorneys and recognize the judges whose work serves the East Bay community.

If you found a lawyer through an AI search, here's something worth checking: Is the firm actually local?

Many firm profiles make it sound like the office is down the street when it's really a few hundred miles away. Asking where a firm is physically located is a fair question, and a good firm will answer plainly.

Before you call, check the office address, where the attorneys are licensed, and who will actually be handling your case.

We’re excited to welcome Jose Duran to Team Mirador!

Jose has spent nearly four decades working in law, with much of his career focused on plaintiff-side personal injury litigation. Since 1986, he has worked across personal injury, criminal, family, and workers’ compensation matters, supporting cases through trial.

For more than 20 years, Jose worked as a personal injury litigation paralegal with The Law Offices of John E. Hill. His work there included third-party personal injury claims arising from workers’ compensation cases, giving him years of experience with cases where different areas of law intersect.

Jose’s connection to the Bay Area also reaches beyond his legal career. He spent two decades volunteering with KPFA Radio and contributing to community-focused programs including La Onda Bajita, Ahora, and La Raza Chronicles.

After nearly 40 years in the field, Jose knows what it takes to keep a case moving toward trial without losing sight of the people at the center of it. We’re glad to have that experience on Team Mirador.

Mirador Law is proud to support Legal Access Alameda as a Guardian of Justice.

Legal Access is the pro bono arm of the Alameda County Bar Association. Through more than 30 free legal clinics each month, it connects low-income Alameda County residents with volunteer attorneys in family law, housing, guardianship, bankruptcy, and more. As public funding for community services continues to shrink, that work matters more, not less.

A person's access to justice should not depend on what they can afford. We are glad to stand behind an organization working to make that true in our own community.

A little time outside the office and out on the course. ⛳

Mirador Law's Colin Brown recently joined friends and family for the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce's annual Golf Outing at Callippe Preserve Golf Course. The Chamber's signature fundraising event brings together local business and community members for a day of golf, connection, and a little friendly competition.

We're always glad to see Team Mirador getting involved in the communities where we live and work.
